The latest release introduces Emerge GeoCluster, RockTrace Prime, a new Total Organic Carbon (TOC) Estimation module in PowerLog, and a range of performance and usability enhancements designed to help geoscientists work more efficiently and confidently across the subsurface characterization workflow.

 

HampsonRussell 2026.3

HampsonRussell 2026.3 introduces Emerge GeoCluster, a new add-on module for Emerge that uses statistical clustering and well data to identify and map patterns across seismic attribute volumes.

Emerge GeoCluster helps interpreters quickly identify geological patterns and variability within seismic attribute data and extend well-based lithology insights across the full 3D seismic volume. By providing a clearer understanding of subsurface variability early in the interpretation workflow, it enables teams to screen more prospects efficiently, prioritize areas for further investigation, and focus advanced AVO and inversion studies where they can deliver the greatest value.

HampsonRussell 2026.3 also includes improvements across AVO, ProAZ, Pro4D, AFI, Attributes, and Geoview, including enhanced processing of large volumes, improved parameter tracking, corrected 4D Spectral Decomposition output, faster Geoview startup and rendering, and streamlined well export workflows.

 

Jason 2026.3

Jason 2026.3 marks the commercial launch of RockTrace Prime, a reimagined seismic inversion module designed to automate parametrization, reduce manual effort, and streamline quality control while delivering reliable and reproducible results.

RockTrace Prime helps geophysicists streamline seismic inversion by automating parameterization and simplifying quality control, reducing manual effort while delivering faster and more consistent results. With parameterization up to 11 times faster and a redesigned, guided interface that reduces parameter setup to as little as one-fifth of the previous number of clicks, users can move more quickly from inversion to results and evaluate outcomes with greater efficiency and confidence.

Jason 2026.3 also delivers workflow improvements that help interpreters work faster and with greater confidence. A streamlined Horizon (ASCII) Import process reduces setup errors and rework, while faster Configure and QC workflows in DepthMod and Trend Modeler enable more efficient analysis of large projects. Improved Composite Trace calculations also support more accurate well-to-seismic ties and greater consistency between Jason and HampsonRussell workflows.

 

PowerLog 2026.3

PowerLog 2026.3 expands its petrophysical capabilities with a new Total Organic Carbon (TOC) Estimation module, bringing Schmoker, Modified Schmoker, Passey, Uranium, and user-defined equations into a single workflow. This gives users greater flexibility to compare and validate TOC estimates, supporting more confident source-rock and unconventional reservoir characterization.

Statmin further simplifies porosity evaluation by automatically calculating total porosity and bound water, reducing manual steps and the potential for errors. Improvements to Cross Section performance also provide faster, more responsive workflows, helping interpreters work more efficiently with large and complex datasets.
