June 9, 2026—GeoSoftware™, the global trusted partner providing geoscience software and consulting services for enhanced subsurface knowledge, is proud to announce the release of the 2026.2 versions of HampsonRussell, Jason, and PowerLog, representing the latest advancements in seismic reservoir characterization and petrophysical analysis.
The 2026.2 release, which now supports Galaxy Kylin OS (x86 architecture), introduces enhancements focused on automation, machine learning, platform modernization, and improved user productivity, helping geoscientists work more efficiently while gaining greater confidence in their subsurface interpretations.
HampsonRussell 2026.2
HampsonRussell 2026.2 delivers improvements across AVO, ProAZ azimuthal analysis, and Strata pre-stack workflows, providing greater stability and performance when working with large and complex datasets. Updates to our AI technologies, Emerge and GeoAI, introduce more flexible machine learning workflows, expanded platform support, and improved collaboration capabilities. Additional enhancements to crossplotting, well ties, and overall system reliability help users streamline geoscience workflows and improve confidence in analysis and interpretations.
Jason 2026.2
Jason 2026.2 introduces RockTrace Prime, a next-generation inversion workflow currently available in an external testing phase. RockTrace Prime combines increased automation, enhanced quality control capabilities, and a new optimization algorithm that delivers up to 11 times faster performance, helping reduce manual effort while maintaining reliable and consistent results.
The release also includes significant performance improvements for stratigraphic horizon visualization and optimization, enhanced fault stick import workflows, improved gather QC capabilities, and expanded data export options to support downstream interpretation workflows, allowing users to spend more time analyzing results and less time waiting on processing.
PowerLog 2026.2
PowerLog 2026.2 delivers new tools that help petrophysicists better characterize reservoir properties and evaluate uncertainty in complex geological environments. This release introduces probabilistic matrix blending in Statmin, enabling more accurate mineral modeling in complex lithologies through smooth transitions between mineral matrices and enhanced quality control visibility.
The release also expands deterministic permeability estimation with eleven industry-standard methods, giving petrophysicists greater flexibility when evaluating reservoir quality from log data. Additional workflow improvements and fixes further enhance usability, data management, and overall system reliability.
“Our 2026.2 release is focused on helping customers achieve more with their data—faster workflows, greater automation, improved performance, and enhanced confidence in interpretation results. These enhancements reflect our ongoing commitment to providing innovative solutions that address the evolving needs of the energy industry.”
